The Combat Poverty Agency/Social Inclusion Division Library is a specialist social policy research library. It is open to all and its services are free of charge.

The Library Collection

The Library has one of Ireland's largest collections on social policy, poverty, social exclusion and community development. All of the titles held by the library are recorded on our searchable online catalogue which may be accessed through the Catalogue Search link on the left.

The Library collection comprises the following:

  Major academic social policy titles in print and online
  
  
• Books and Reports
  Extensive collection on subjects including Irish and international social policy, poverty and social exclusion, rural development, urban studies, regeneration, housing, health inequality, educational disadvantage, community development, voluntary sector management, and research methods.
  

Reference & Information Services

The Library & Information Service provides a reference and information service on all subjects within our remit. This includes:

• General information service on poverty and social inclusion
• Advice on information and reference sources
• Searches of online sources

Lending

The Library's collection is for reference only.

Facilities

• Wireless internet access
• Photocopying - self service, free of charge
• Study area
• Public access PC for catalogue, online journal and web access
• The library is fully accessible to people with disabilities.

Visiting

The Library is located on the first floor of the Department of Community, Equality & Gaeltacht Affairs, Dún Aimhirgin, 43-49 Mespil Road, Dublin 4.
